Golden Bay Tinbum Triathlon

The Tinbum Triathlon is a local event in Pohara, just 10 minutes drive east from Takaka in Golden Bay, Tasman, New Zealand.

The distances involved are quite achievable for a wide range of people, so it can be a fun family event or a serious competition - the choice is yours. Plus there are plenty of great spot prizes to be won!

The date for our next event is Sunday 2 March 2025.

The triathlon has been running since 1999 and features a sea swim, a multi-terrain bike and a running leg. It starts and finishes at the Pohara Top 10 Holiday Park.

Registration is done on the day:

Registration opens at 11:00 AM and closes at 12:15 PM (exact times to be confirmed)

Pre race safety briefing (compulsory) at 12:25 PM

Race start 12:45 PM
